You cannot coerce a person to: 

  • vote for or against an enterprise agreement
  • take industrial action
  • engage or not engage a building employee or contractor.

Code covered entities must not coerce others:

  • in exercising their security of payment rights
  • to provide above-entitlement payments
  • to contribute to a particular fund or scheme.

It’s unlawful for an employer, fellow employee or a union to coerce an employee to exercise, or not exercise, their workplace rights. You cannot coerce a person to:
