We publish media releases when we deem it is in the public interest to do so. In general, when we file a matter in court we publish a media release that outlines the respondents and allegations detailed in the statement of claim.

Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of media releases at the time of publishing. During the course of legal proceedings, there may be changes to the parties and/or the allegations made. In these circumstances, we will include an annotation on the original media release to advise of any discontinuance or dismissal of respondents and/or contraventions.

When a proceeding is finalised by the Court, we archive the media release that was published at the time of filing. Archived media releases can be provided upon request. Email media@abcc.gov.au to request an archived media release.
