FWBC

Fair Work Building and Construction (FWBC) was the building industry regulator from 1 June 2012 until 1 December 2016. On 2 December 2016 the ABCC commenced, replacing FWBC.

Legal Case
The ABCC* took court action against the plumbing division of the CEPU after a Bendigo-based plumbing company alleged it had been threatened with exclusion from a number of local construction projects unless it signed an enterprise agreement with the union.

Legal Case
On 20 November 2015, the Federal Court handed down its liability decision finding all alleged contraventions were proven. A penalty decision was handed down on 22 April 2016 with penalties totalling $54,200.
