The 2013 Code is the Building Code 2013.

Basic page
All employees and contractors have the right to join or not join a building association, whether a union or employer body. This is called freedom of association. Everyone has the right to freedom of association under the law.

The trial was held for six days commencing on 27 July 2015. A decision regarding liability was handed down on 31 May 2016. The Court found contraventions of s343(1) of the Fair Work Act against all respondents.

The ABCC has filed Federal Circuit Court proceedings against NSW company N-Cap Pty Ltd alleging it failed to comply with a compliance notice requiring it to pay a subcontractor for work at the Australian Parliament House Security Upgrade project in Canberra.

On 17 September 2020, the Federal Circuit Court in the ACT penalised the CFMMEU $138,000 and six officials a further $63,500 following breaches of right of entry laws across three apartment project sites in Franklin, Harrison and Wright in 2013 and 2014.

On 20 November 2015, the court handed down its liability decision finding all alleged contraventions were proven. A penalty decision was handed down on 22 April 2016. Penalties totalling $494,150 were imposed on the respondents.
