Learning and development opportunities

Flexible working arrangements

The ABCC is committed to providing flexibility in working arrangements, to assist employees to balance their personal and work commitments. This can involve flexibility in negotiating working hours with your manager, flexitime, and access to working from home or additional purchased leave from one to eight weeks per annum.

Parental leave

The ABCC believes in supporting staff that are approaching this exciting time in their lives. Generous entitlements include:

  • 16 weeks paid leave for the primary care giver,
  • Or 4 weeks of paid leave for the supporting partner within 6 months of the birth of the employee’s child.

Salary packaging

Salary packaging is available to all employees at the ABCC, with the option to package items such as motor vehicles, fees to professional associations, airline lounge membership and more.

Employee Assistance Program

The ABCC’s Employee Assistance Program provides a free and confidential counselling service for employees and their immediate family if required.

Christmas closedown

All ABCC offices are closed for business from midday on the last working day before Christmas and for the days between Christmas and New Year's Day inclusive. This period is provided to employees as paid time off and does not come off annual leave.
