Presentations form a key part of FWBC’s education function. FWBC has a suite of presentations on a range of issues, including sham contracting, wages and entitlements, right of entry, industrial action and the Building Code.
In March this year, FWBC also introduced a presentation tailored to apprentices and pre-apprentices in the building and construction industry as part of the Know Your Worth campaign. These presentations provide useful advice on workplace issues with a particular focus on wages and entitlements for young workers in the industry.
FWBC tailors the content of each presentation to meet the specific needs of the audience.
Number and state breakdown of presentations
During the reporting period, Field Operations conducted 176 presentations to a total of 3526 attendees. Between 1 March and 30 June 2013, approximately 51 of these were Know Your Worth presentations delivered to apprentices and pre-apprentices in the building and construction industry.
