As the workplace relations regulator for the building and construction industry, FWBC plays a central role in addressing the problem of sham contracting. FWBC will continue to focus on enforcing the sham contracting provisions in the FW Act.
During the reporting period, FWBC received ten sham contracting enquiries. All of the enquiries resulted in information being provided.
As at 30 June 2012, FWBC had three ongoing sham contracting related investigations.
