CORPORATE GOVERNANCE

Corporate governance covers the rules, relationships, systems and processes by which the ABCC applied the resources entrusted to it. Governance determines how the agency’s authority is exercised and controlled, how its outcomes and programs are delivered and how the ABCC was held accountable. These practices were overseen by the Executive Board with support from the following management committees:

  • People Committee
  • Health and Safety Committee
  • Audit Committee.

The ABCC’s corporate governance framework comprised the enabling legislation (Building and Construction Industry Improvement Act 2005), other relevant legislative instruments, policies, strategies and managerial procedures and practices.
