Under Senate Continuing Order No. 12, all government agencies are required to provide an indexed list of all relevant files created by the agency.

Relevant files that are required to be listed include files relating to the policy advising functions of the agency, such as the development of legislation and other matters of public administration.

The list does not include:

  • files transferred to the National Archives of Australia
  • case-related files (e.g. personal representations or dealing with personal affairs of agency clients or taxpayers)
  • files essentially related to the internal administration of the agency (e.g. staff or personnel matters).

For the period 1 January 2022 to 30 June 2022 there were no files to report.

Since 2 December 2016, the ABCC has one file required to be listed, which related to the period 1 January 2021 – 30 June 2021 titled: ‘Legislative – Policy Proposals – 2021’.
