ABCC v Professional Gyprock Solutions and Lin Qiao

The Federal Magistrates Court found that Professional Gyprock Solutions Pty Ltd and its director, Lin Qiao, contravened various requirements of the Fair Work Act by failing to keep proper pay records, failing to provide pay slips to employees and keeping false or misleading employee records, including in respect of rate of remuneration, gross and net amounts paid, leave accrual and superannuation contributions.
The contraventions took place in April and May 2010.
On 19 August 2011 Barker, J imposed penalties totalling $16,000 on Professional Gyprock Solutions Pty Ltd and $3,000 on Mr Qiao.
