Compliance Powers

Section 52 of the BCII Act gives the ABC Commissioner power to compel a person to:

  • provide information;
  • produce documents; or
  • attend to answer questions at an examination.
The ABCC has produced a report on the the use of its compliance powers from 1 October 2005 to 30 September 2008.

Statement of Legal Expenditure

In accordance with paragraph 11.1(ba) of the Legal Service Directions 2005, the ABCC is required to report annually on its legal services purchasing, and make publicly available records of its legal services expenditure.

The ABCC has lodged its report for the 2007/08 financial year (PDF 31 KB) with the Office of Legal Services Coordination.
