When an ABCC investigation uncovers a contravention of workplace relations laws, the Independent Contractors Act 2006 or related legislation we will initiate legal proceedings in the courts or Fair Work Australia.
To date, the courts have imposed $5,239,925 in penalties, $698,300 suspended, in successful ABCC cases.
From 1 October 2005 to 31 January the ABCC has been successful in 84 cases. The tables below display the number of court cases currently underway and the number that have been finalised since the ABCC’s inception.
