Application for orders under s.496 Workplace Relations Act 1996 to stop industrial action interfering with construction work at the site of a proposed new warehouse at Alphington.
The head contractor (Kane) alleged that a CFMEU organiser, Bob Mates, directed all workers on site to leave the site after Kane refused to engage a labourer and appoint him as employee OH&S representative.
The hearing was adjourned after CFMEU gave an undertaking that there was no impediment to workers returning to the site.
