Free advice on changing workplace laws: ABCC advisers attend Gosford trade talks

Building industry participants in Gosford will have access to free advice about workplace relations laws tonight.

Advisers from the Australian Building and Construction Commission will present at the Master Builders Association of NSW Trade Night in Gosford this Thursday, 11 June 2009.

This is an invaluable opportunity for building industry participants living in the Gosford region to get advice about how the workplace laws will impact them. ABCC advisers will be available throughout the evening to answer enquiries.

ABC Commissioner John Lloyd said providing education and advice to industry participants is a crucial part of the ABCC’s role:

“Changes to workplace laws are imminent. ABCC advisers are ensuring that building participants in the Gosford region are able to get free advice and assistance about the issues affecting them.

Educating industry participants about workplace laws is an essential part of the ABCC’s role and I encourage building participants to take this opportunity.”

The ABCC advisers will be ready to answer questions on workplace laws, the National Code and sham contracting.
