Application by Siemens Ltd for orders under s496 of the Workplace Relations Act 1996 to stop bans on painting work at the site of construction of a gas-fired power station at Laverton North.
Painting of fire system pipework by Wormald sprinkler fitters (covered by the CEPU) had been banned by the CFMEU on the grounds that such painting work was allegedly covered by the CFMEU.
The AIRC hearing was listed on 23 June. Following advice that the bans had been lifted, Siemens withdrew its application.
