Respondent(s): Glenmore Building and Industrial Pty Ltd
Site: Ballarat North Reclamation Project
Jurisdiction: AIRC
Before: Deputy President Ives
Hearing date:

Intervention filed on: 31 May 2007

Glenmore Building and Industrial Pty Ltd, a NSW based company, has been carrying out civil works on the Ballarat North Reclamation Project, a $30M project involving sewerage reticulation and water flow at Wendouree near Ballarat.

The matter concerned an application by the CFMEU for a dispute resolution process to be conducted by the AIRC. The union alleged that the company was not complying with its award obligations concerning payments to funds covering matters of redundancy, superannuation and long service leave. The company maintained that its obligations were being met but it refused to divulge employee details to the union.

Agreement was reached in proceedings before DP Ives that the company would provide the Commission with details of its payments and the Commission would in turn inform the union without disclosing employee details.
