Background:

Hooker Cockram Projects Limited was the principal contractor in charge of a construction project at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in La Trobe St, Melbourne.

The ABCC alleges Mr Christopher attended the site on 9 October 2009 and attempted to unlawfully coerce the site manager or Hooker Cockram, in contravention of section 348 and section 355 of the Fair Work Act 2009 (FW Act).  The ABCC alleges the CFMEU and Mr Christopher threatened, assaulted, abused and vandalised property with the intent to coerce the site manager or Hooker Cockram to comply with his request.
