The People and Leadership Statement is designed to guide people management strategies and practices in the ABCC.
Statement
The ABCC Business Plan includes the priorities ‘Our People’ and ‘Meeting our Performance Measures’.
The People Committee reinforces these priorities in an environment where teamwork, encouragement, safety, high performance and sharing success are key factors, and provides a means for ABCC staff to have:
- Appropriate input into the Executive’s development of business strategies
- Open and honest communication with Executive and management on recruitment, training and performance programs
- Successful and innovative approaches to our business functions recognised and rewarded
- Opportunities for challenging and varied work available – irrespective of level or location
- An enhanced culture of mutual respect and personal integrity in our workplace behaviours, underpinning the APS Values.
This body is representative of all ABCC staff and empowered to develop ideas and suggestions which can be taken to the Executive of the ABCC and where appropriate, the outcomes of those suggestions be taken forward, monitored and reviewed.
